I'm just home from my annual adventure at Quilt Market in Houston. Hurricane driven rain was the big topic of non-quilt related conversation. My normal running route in Buffalo Bayou was under water but I didn't much feel like running in the rain anyway. You can see a photo of my booth on Instagram. Look for SAMSARAHDESIGN to follow my infrequent posts. (Maybe I'll get more frequent with more followers!)
Two new quilts were released at market, with another still on the design wall, which means it was not completed in time. It becomes a future release!
Whirli-doodle
This sweet, fun, adorable baby quilt is so simple, yet so elegant. Change up to bright colors and you've got a riot going on. The choice is yours. The quilt is fat quarter friendly, yet yardage is also given. Finished size is 36" x 45" This is pattern 1019.
Love for You and Me
I love wool applique and this combination of wool and cotton makes the project so easy. Weeks Dye Works wool, floss and Pearl Cotton are appliqued and embroidered on a pieced background. Finished size is 18" x 63" for a great bed runner. Flip every other heart upside down, and it can also become an awesome table runner. Change up the colors to match your decor. Perfect wedding or anniversary gift! This is 16-page book 1020.
Meanwhile the cross stitch wheels are still rolling. Here's what's new since the Summer Newsletter.
Santa's Cabinet
Part two of five, Chart 9131 entitled Mending Kit sits just under the Elves stitched in Part One. Hand dyed buttons included in chart pack.

Just released part three of five, chart 9132, Naughty or Nice wraps around part two. Contains a baker's dozen hand-dyed buttons.
Over the Hill
Our hike over the hills of SamSarahLand continues with chart 9139 Bluebird shown above and the just released 9140 Sleep shown below. Each in the series is stitched on Weeks Dye Works 20 count Blue Jeans linen with Caron Collection over-dyed Watercolours. Over-dyed buttons are included with each chart. Finished to fit an Ackfeld 9" Windy Scroll hanger.

Time to unload the van and put everything away, answer my 600 emails, messages and voice mails, ship out orders received while away and most importantly, celebrate our sweet grand-daughter's second birthday on Friday.
Have fun sewing or stitching!
